FACTS & FIGURES
Dharavi is often called "Asia´s largest slum pocket", an expression which is wrong in two ways: it is neiter just a slum, nor is it a pocket. Dharavi is rather a city within the city with a lot of different structures. Old villages and new settlements have merged together into a fabric of workplaces and homes. The area of 1.75 square km hosts between 500 000 and 1 milijon people.
